MVA is hosting a workshop on research infrastructure for life science on 14 January 2009. The aim of the workshop is to give examples of top level research environments within a distance of 45 minutes by car, and discuss if, why and how we could take advantage of the proximity in the region. The workshop takes place at MVA premises in Ørestad, Denmark and the deadline for registration is 19 December. Read more

Nearly 70 persons participated in the seminar at Ideon, Lund on 4 December where MVA's Stina Gestrelius presented the report ‘Why is Danish Life Science thriving?' and VINNOVA's Anna Sandström presented a comparison of Sweden to the U.S., Canada, Singapore and Japan. The Danish Agency for Science Technology and Innovation offers financial support to SMEs in connection with FP7 applications. The application deadlines have been set to the 14 January, 25 February, 16 April and 3 June 2009. Read more
VINNOVA has issued a call for funding through their SAMBIO programme. SEK 85 million is available and the deadline is 22 January 2008. SAMBIO is a Collaboration Programme by VINNOVA between companies and academic research in the bioscience field. Read more about the call here (in Swedish).
In 2009, the Danish National Advanced Technology Foundation has DKK 280 million available for distribution within two main competitions, with a call for advanced technology projects and a call for advanced technology platforms. The deadline for applications is 27 January 2009. Read more
