Call for Proposals for the Danish National Advanced Technology Foundation

Life science is the single area that has attracted most funding from the Danish National Advanced Technology Foundation (MDKK 241 out of a total of MDKK 807). In 2009 the Foundation has in all MDKK 280 for distribution within two main competitions with a call for advanced technology projects and a call for advanced technology platforms. Deadline is 27 January 2009.

The overall aim of the Danish National Advanced Technology Foundation is to strengthen growth and employment in the Danish society. This is done by investing in and thus providing risk capital for advanced technology projects and platforms in order that cutting-edge initiatives are carried out with results that create value for the participating parties and the Danish Society.

 

The Call on Projects

An advanced technology project is a partnership between one or more private companies and one or more public sector research institutions.
The project's objective is to prepare, within a specified time limit after the end of the funding period, a completely new product or a whole new generation of products through use of advanced technology.

Funding period: 2-4 years.

Support from the Foundation: MDKK 2,5-15.

Total budget: MDKK 5-30.

The Call on Platforms

An advanced technology platform is a partnership between one or more private companies and one or more public sector research institutions.
The aim of a platform is long-term development of novel ground-breaking technology that will enable the participating companies to embark on various new business activities and lead to a radical leap within the involved sectors of industry.

Funding period: 3-5 years.

Support from the Foundation: MDKK 15-75.

Total budget: MDKK 30-150.
