CellaVision and Sysmex Extend Exclusive Distribution Agreement
CellaVision AB has extended its exclusive distribution agreement with Sysmex Europe for another two years in order to meet the growing demand for automated image analysis in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
The agreement comprises the majority of EMEA and implies that Sysmex Europe will continue selling, marketing, and supporting CellaVision's products with exclusive rights within agreed geographical areas until 2010.

Sysmex is the leading company within laboratory diagnostics in Europe, and the fact that they will continue marketing and selling our systems to their clients gives us a very strong distribution channel as well as an excellent opportunity to penetrate the market further, says Yvonne Mårtensson, CEO of CellaVision.
Of CellaVision's total turnover in 2007 of SEK 74.6 million, the total of the EMEA area accounted for approximately 60 percent.
