Lund University Granted SEK 18 Million by Vinnova

The University of Lund has received a million grant from Vinnova, for its Industrial Biotechnology Program.

The Department of Biotechnology at the University of Lund is granted SEK 18 million by Vinnova for its program within Industrial Biotechnology. Vinnova is the Swedish Governmental Agency for Innovation Systems that aims to promote growth and prosperity throughout Sweden. The Agency will support the program for five years.

Apart from the support from Vinnova the university receives SEK 14 million from various cooperating partners in from the industry. This Industrial Biotechnology program will focus on bio refineries and how the remain products can be used to produce bio energy.
