Camurus Announces Option and License Agreement with Wyeth Pharmaceuticals

Camurus has entered into an option and license agreement with Wyeth Pharmaceuticals for the evaluation and development of hemophilia therapeutics. Camurus receives an upfront payment, development milestones and royalty payments.

Camurus has announced that it has entered into an option and license agreement with Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, a division of Wyeth (NYSE: WYE). The agreement is for the evaluation and development of hemophilia therapeutics with Camurus' proprietary FluidCrystal® nanoparticle delivery technology. According to the terms of the agreement, Camurus will receive an upfront payment, development milestones and royalty payments.

Wyeth is a major pharmaceutical company with one of the strongest biotech product pipelines globally. Camurus has a strategic focus in this area with several ongoing development projects of protein and peptide therapeutics using its FluidCrystal® delivery technologies.

- The Wyeth collaboration will focus on developing advanced hemophilia therapeutics and is another step towards our goal of establishing a set of strategic partnerships with leading biopharmaceutical companies, continues Fredrik Tiberg.
