Recipharm wins Best Contract Manufacturing Project Award

Recipharm have been recognized at the European Outsourcing Awards 2007 by winning the Best Contract Manufacturing Project category.

The awards ceremony was held in Milan on 3 October and acknowledges Recipharm's achievement in introducing a complex solid dose product to the Recipharm facility in Stockholm on behalf of a British customer.

Following manufacturing problems elsewhere, this high volume product was almost out of stock and was important both from a customer and patient perspective. There were a number of technical issues to overcome in the transfer and speed was clearly very important.

Through a close relationship and strong support from Recipharm's customer, the company were able to complete the transfer and have commercial supplies on the market less than six months after initial discussions took place.
