Effective Networking and Socialising at the MVA 10-year Jubilee

The buzz from the networking was so loud and intense that Stig Jørgensen, Managing Director at Medicon Valley Alliance, had a hard time getting people to take their seats after the break in the programme.

In fact, many of the participants used the MVA 10-year Jubilee as an opportunity to socialise and corner some of the other attendees. Olle Olsson, CEO at ScizoDetect, said:

- For a long time I have wanted to talk to some of the people who are here. They are normally very busy, but I knew that there was a good chance of meeting them today.

The number of participants made the event an interesting networking prospect:

- I was very impressed by the number of people who showed up today. It has been great to catch up with friends and colleagues, said Hans Nyctelius, Arthur D. Little and the former CEO of SwedenBio.

New members gained a good sense of the region

The 230 attendees were a mix of new and older members representing the public and private life science sector in Medicon Valley. For the new members, the Jubilee offered the possibility to gain a good sense of the region, as Maeva Chardon, Senior Consultant at Mixus, explained:

- We are a new member of Medicon Valley Alliance so we were very curious about the Jubilee. I think the programme was interesting and varied, and it was especially exciting to hear the speakers talk about the region's science and business.
