Obesity Treatment Through Phase I

19 December - A clinical phase I trial of Biovitrum's 5-HT6 receptor antagonist (BVT.74316) has now been successfully completed. This first clinical study, with the objective to test safety and tolerability in escalating single-dose and repeated-dose administration was started in August 2006. Neurosearch Study for Parkinson's

18 December - NeuroSearch has enrolled and dosed the first healthy volunteers in a clinical Phase I study with ACR343 with a view to develop this drug candidate as a new treatment for Parkinson's disease. The Phase I study is a randomized, double-blind and placebo-controlled single ascending dose study to evaluate the safety and tolerability as well as the pharmacokinetic profile of ACR343 after oral administration. Treatment of Mood and Anxiety Disorders Enters into Clinical Phase III

18 December - H. Lundbeck A/S and Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited today announced the advancement of Lu AA21004 for the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders into clinical phase III.
