Fourth Genmab Antibody Developed under Roche Collaboration to Enter Clinic 

11 December - Genmab A/S announced today that an Investigational New Drug application (IND) for a Genmab antibody developed under the company's collaboration with Roche has been filed with the FDA by Roche. Genentech and Roche are collaborating on development of the antibody which selectively blocks the interaction of the OX40 ligand and its receptor. Final Phase 3 Study Confirms Very Favourable Effect of Liraglutide on Blood Glucose Control and Body Weight

11 December - Novo Nordisk has announced clinical results from a one-year monotherapy study, the last of five phase 3 studies needed for regulatory filing, investigating liraglutide - the once-daily human GLP-1 analogue for treatment of type 2 diabetes. The study, which is part of Novo Nordisk's LEAD® programme (Liraglutide Effect and Action in Diabetes), included 746 patients with type 2 diabetes. Read more

NsGene Starts Phase Ib Clinical Study with NsG0202 for the Treatment of Alzheimer's Disease  

12 December - NsGene A/S, 25% owned by NeuroSearch, has received final approval for the initiation of a Phase Ib clinical study with its drug candidate NsG0202 for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease. The Phase Ib study will be carried out at the Karolinska University Hospital in Stockholm, Sweden and the first patients will be treated in the beginning of 2008. Read more
