28 November - 7TM Pharma has announced results from a clinical Phase I/II study with Obinepitide developed for the treatment of obesity and related diseases. The results of the study proved that Obinepitide effectively inhibits food intake thereby confirming the earlier Obinepitide clinical studies. Favourable Results from GRAZAX Study in Children 

22 November - ALK-Abelló has announced that the Phase III clinical study of GRAZAX for children has met its primary endpoint. The study showed a statistically significant clinical effect corresponding to the results which led to a European marketing approval for adults in 2006. Read more   

Tibotec and Medovir Start Phase 

21 November - Medivir is to initiate a Phase II clinical trial of an investigational hepatitis C protease inhibitor, TMC435350. The study will start shortly in Europe by development contractor Tibotec Pharmaceuticals Ltd. Read more

Liraglutide Leads to Significant Weight Loss

20 November - Novo Nordisk has announced that clinical results from a double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase 2 study comparing liraglutide with orlistat demonstrated that liraglutide given once daily over 20 weeks at the highest dose led to a weight loss. Furthermore, the study revealed a beneficial effect on systolic blood pressure after treatment with liraglutide. Read more
