Curalogic Updates from Phase III Clinical Study with the Ragweed Product

5 November - All patients in Curalogic's Phase III clinical study with the ragweed product have now completed the planned treatment. The next steps are first quality control of all data and then calculation of the results of the study. Curalogic plans to publish results from the study in the first quarter of 2008. Read more 

Santaris Pharma's HIF-1 Alpha Antagonist Enters Second Phase 1 study 

2 November - Santaris Pharma A/S has announced the initiation of an open-label, non-randomized Phase 1 study with its HIF-1 alpha antagonist. The study is designed to evaluate the safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics of the HIF-1 alpha antagonist in a daily for 5 days schedule in approximately 30 patients with advanced solid tumors or lymphoma. Read more

Novel anti-PIGF Antibody Expected to Enter the Clinic Later this Year

2 November - BioInvent International AB and co-development partner ThromboGenics NV have announced the publication of data in Cell that highlight for the first time the therapeutic potential of anti-PlGF agents to treat cancer based on research performed at the University of Leuven, Belgium and the Flanders Institute for Biotechnology (VIB). The lead anti-PIGF monoclonal antibody, TB-403, is expected to enter Phase 1 clinical trial by the end of 2007. Read more

Active Biotech's ANYARA Proven Safe in Combination with Taxotere

24 October - Active Biotech AB has presented the final results of the previously reported clinical Phase I study of the cancer project ANYARA in combination with Taxotere in patients with non-small cell lung cancer.
