The Lundbeck Fund is to dedicate EUR 35 million to help Danish researchers to stay in Denmark.
One of Denmark’s largest money tanks the Lundbeck Fund will now attract the best Danish brains abroad to return to home to the benefit of Denmark.
The very rich fund behind the pharmaceutical company Lundbeck will dedicate EUR 35 million to bring back Danish researchers from abroad as well as to attract the Danish researchers abroad to build their own research groups here.
- It is very decisive of Denmark’s competitiveness and development that we are on the leading edge to attract the latest research results. Therefore it is important that the Danish researchers go abroad. Here they can be inspired and they learn to work in international laboratories. It is of course a good thing if they return home again. This interaction is very important, says Steen Hemmingsen, CEO of the Lundbeck Fund, and emphasises that the development needs speeding up.
