Novo Nordisk phase III study confirms strong efficacy data

14 September - Novo Nordisk has announced clinical results from the fourth of five phase 3 studies with liraglutide. The study investigated the effect of different doses of liraglutide in combination with metformin and rosiglitazone, and included 533 patients with type 2 diabetes. Read more 

BioInvent and ThromboGenics move to Phase II with anticoagulant TB-402

AstraZeneca and Pozen To Start Phase III Trials With PN400

7 September - AstraZeneca announce today that it will start a Phase III programme for PN400, a new pain product under co-development with POZEN, Inc. The Phase III programme is scheduled to begin in 3Q 2007, with a US submission currently targeted for 1H 2009. Read more

FDA approves Zealand Pharma's investigative new drug application
