This MVA report focuses on two key issues; the interface mechanisms linking academic research to sucessful commercial exploitation and the present conditions for business growth within the biotech area. The report has been prepared to serve as inspiration for how Medicon Valley can improve its economic performance significantly, if best-of-class initiatives are taken to improve the innovation system in the region. The report contains five recommendations for the improvement of the innovation system that ought to be carefully considered by the Swedish and Daniah governments, the many organisations and those individuals, who are involved in moving the innovation system forward.
