Swegene enters agreement with the research council of Norway
The Swedish functional genomics consortium SWEGENE and The Research Council of Norway's FUGE programme (Functional Genomics in Norway) recently entered an agreement to encourage collaboration between institutions in the field of functional genomics.

Danish TopoTarget & Curagen collaborate with the US National Cancer Institute for oncology product development
The Danish biotech company TopoTarget recently announced that its licencing partner, CuraGen Corporation has signed a Clinical Trials Agreement with the Division of Cancer Treatment and Diagnosis at the US National Cancer Institute for PXD101, a histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitor currently in Phase I clinical trials.

North European Life Science United by ScanBalt
ScanBalt, launched in 2001 by MVA, BioCon Valley in Germany and BioTurku in Finland, has now become an independent not for profit membership based association. The ScanBalt statutes were signed on 25 August 2004 in Turku, Finland, by 22 founding members that represent regions, public institutions and private companies within the life science sector.
