Recently, MVA expanded on the Swedish side of Øresund. The organisation moved to new and bigger offices in the central location of Ideon Science Park. This was celebrated at a reception 4 March 2004.

Swedish billions for strong research environments
The Swedish Research Council, the Swedish Agency for Innovation Systems (VINNOVA), the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research, and the Swedish Research Council for Environment, Agricultural Sciences and Spatial Planning have initiated a common boost of Swedish research to make sure that Sweden can compete on a global scale.
