: MVA IN NOVEMBER: Member Contacts and Activities

by Stina Gestrelius, Acting CEO, Medicon Valley Academy

SG Ny

In this raw and chilly November, we put an extra effort into seeing good old friends, as well as potential new MVA members. Thus far it has meant a journey to Nykøbing Falster to see Storstrøms Amt, and several trips to Scion-DTU at Hørsholm, not to mention frequent meetings in Copenhagen, Malmö and Lund. Before the end of the month we should have met or spoken with at least 50 organisations. Please let us know if you would like a visit.

An interesting afternoon has been organised on 15 December for the new companies in the region (mainly those from 2003–2004). By supplying information from experienced entrepreneurs about the journey from start-up to established biotech or medtech companies, as well as about the early financing rounds, we hope to demonstrate what MVA can be used for, at the same time as we learn more about the newcomers.

The recent innovation report will be presented for as many members as possible, and in order to make something special out of it we offer Lucia glögg and brown cakes at a morning meeting in Lund on 3 December. Come and collect your copy! The networking continues as always, and we hope everyone will take advantage of the meetings. VERY WELCOME! Please, phone or e-mail about your participation. These are the planned activities before Christmas:
