Spinal cord injuries often have damaging effects on the central nervous system. The patients will often be handicapped for life. The aim of the project is to analyse the complications that arise in patients at least 10 years after the injury. The areas in focus are urological, gastroenterological, sexological, motor function and social complications. Further the need for aid is evaluated. The project has 3 phases; 1) A retrospective analysis of the patients journals. 2) a questionnaire on the present state of health and social situation. 3) the background from 1 and 2 are used to evaluate what health-related and social problem that will be most relevant in relation to further optimisation of treatment methods and uncover needs important to the patient.
