The Medicon Valley Life Science Ambassador Programme has been steadily gaining momentum since the beginning of the year with the first exchange of Ambassadors between MVA and the Kobe-Kansai region.
The Ambassador Programme has now reached a new milestone with the signing of a Letter of Intent between Medicon Valley Bio-MAX Institute and Bio-Hub Korea representing the life science cluster in Soul, South Korea. This agreement constitutes the 3rd collaboration between Medicon Valley Alliance and a foreign cluster organisation.
The collaboration was launched at a meeting with representatives from the Bio-MAX institute and Bio-Hub Korea. The delegation introduced their ambitious BIT-Port project, which will foster the biggest life science and IT research environment in South Korea, creating 7.000 new jobs all in order to become world's largest R&D area for mobile life care.
Based on an analysis of this region's economic performance history, the current economic situation, and the initiatives to further promote economic development within life science, Medicon Valley Alliance expects great collaboration potential between companies and institutions in Medicon Valley and in South Korea.
