A first agreement was signed with the Japanese Life Science cluster of Kobe-Kansai in Japan. This collaboration was launched at a meeting in Copenhagen on 12 February 2007 with participation of the Japanese Ambassador in Denmark and the Managing Director of our partnering cluster organisation, Foundation for Biomedical Research and Innovation (FBRI). Japan is the world's 2nd largest pharmaceutical and medical device market.
Similar agreements are currently under negotiation with clusters in Asia, Canada and the USA.
Pro-Cluster Kobe, part of the Foundation for Biomedical Research and Innovation, provides comprehensive support for industrial-academic-government collaboration toward the formation of a cluster of relevant research institutions and R&D companies.
