EDUCATION AND COURSES
The Danish University of Pharmaceutical Sciences – MIND Programme
Part-time education over 2-6 years (equivalent to 1 year full-time study = 60 ECTS points in the European Credit Transfer System). The master’s programme can be combined with a busy job and is flexible in rate of attendance. The courses can be taken in any order; however, students are recommended to begin with the introductory course ‘Discovery and Development of Medicines’.
Lund University Center for Research on Pharmaceuticals (Läkemedelscentrum)
Collaboration between Lund University and Colleges at Halmstad, Kalmar, Kristianstad and Växjö Universities. Undergraduate and graduate courses (Forskarskola) with 24 PhD students concentrate on investigating relations between chemical structures and biological effects.

Medicademy
Medicademy is an independent international education unit under The Danish Association of the Pharmaceutical Industry, Lif (Lægemiddelindustriforeningen), in Copenhagen, and was established in 2002, primarily with the aim of offering a formalised education within the field of Regulatory Affairs.

The Danish Association of the Pharmaceutical Industry arranges courses on how to work out product development plans.
Medicoindustrien
Medicoindustrien is the trade organisation for the medical device industry in Denmark. Medicoindustrien arranges more than 25 courses on development, registration, production and marketing of medical devices. In addition, they offer a Medical Device Sales Consultant Programme aimed at sales and marketing staff from the medical device industry in Denmark.

Medicon Valley Alliance Biostatistics Network
This network was formed in the fall of 2002 with the aim of promoting the collaboration between bio statisticians in the Øresund Region, whether they work in academia, the pharmaceutical industry, the private consulting sector or public research institutions. Several meetings every year.

New Safe Medicines Faster (NSMF)
NSMF is an initiative aimed at improving drug development and approval in Europe by cooperation between public and private institutions. NSMF follows two tracks: 1) Streamlining: Activities to optimise or reengineer the current drug research & development processes utilising contemporary scientific knowledge by removing bottlenecks and developing new tools, and 2) Fresh approach: To re-evaluate the entire process and create a new efficient flow of knowledge generation and management without compromising safety based on the scientific advances within e.g. the genome research.
