Bladder Academy has initiated a steering committee and we arrange meetings and seminars. At the present we are investigating funding possibilities including funds for PhD projects within urology and we are establishing contact to stakeholders. Presently we focus on health economy within urology.

Health economy and incontinence in Bladder Academy

Health economy was the topic for the workshop held by MVA Bladder Academy 20 September. A motley affair of health economists, a professor in economics, a specialist in Quality of Life, several urologists as well as representatives from large life science companies joined the well attended meeting. It was decided to continue and strengthen the health economy track in Bladder Academy, more specifically within incontinence and a project group is in formation. The focus of the project will be costs of incontinence in general and how different interventions can change the costs for incontinence patients in health budgets, municipal budgets and for the society in general.
