Why periodic health examinations?

Preventive health examinations and lifestyle counselling

Based upon a detailed physical examination by the doctor, all relevant laboratory tests and a comprehensive assessment of lifestyle, stress level, life- and hereditary conditions; the examination serves the following purposes:

• Evaluate the current health status
• Screen for lifestyle dependant risk factors and disease
• Provide preventive counselling interventions
• Educate and motivate about behavioral patterns

Health checks

A less comprehensive health examination than the Preventive Health Examination. Measurement of cholesterol and blood sugar levels, a physical examination of blood pressure, height and weight (BMI), all aiming at assessing the current health status and screening for risk factors and disease.

Health checks are offered to companies, who would like to review and evaluate the company's health status and is often used as an analytic tool, in preparation for establishing a true company health policy. Health checks are offered as a progressive course or on a subscription basis and are carried out at the company facility or at the clinic. Health checks are led by specially educated biomedical laboratory scientists, nurses or doctors.
