14 January 2009 / Ørestad / Denmark
Medicon Valley hosts the two largest Nordic universities and many university hospitals in addition to 300 research-based life science companies with a total of 45,000 employees. Almost 20,000 persons commute for work across Øresund, but this national border is still an obstacle when it comes to collaboration, prioritisation and funding of research and research infrastructure.
The aim of the Medicon Valley workshop is to give examples of top level research environments within in a distance of 45 minutes by car, and discuss if, why and how we could take advantage of this proximity.
