EuroCenter (part of the Danish Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation) and the University of Copenhagen (the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences) will host an information meeting on the upcoming call for proposals concerning the health theme in EU's 7th framework programme for research and technological development (FP7).
The meeting will be held on 20 August 2009 at the Panum Institute in Copenhagen. Participation is free of charge. Target group: all researchers and SMEs interested in European life science research projects.
This is a unique opportunity to learn more about EU's 7th framework programme and to get a good overview of the opportunities in the the next call for proposals, which is expected to be published by the European Commission on 30 July 2009. The call has a budget of 651 million euro.
At the meeting you will hear about:
A Scientific Officer from the European Union will explain the possibilities of funding in detail and two experienced FP7-participants will share their knowledge and recommendations with the participants.
The upcoming call for proposals will focus on the following three scientific areas:
As translation of basic discoveries into clinical applications is one of the main objectives of this theme, clinical research is a major tool used in the funded projects.
Inclusion of 'high-tech' SMEs in most projects is a priority of the Health theme.
