A new scientific network has become part of the Medicon Valley Academy networks.
The Medicon Valley - Hepatocyte User Group (MV-HUG) was founded in 2003 (by Lassina Badolo, H. Lundbeck and Gerda Marie Rist, LEO Pharma, Denmark) with the purpose of creating a forum for hepatocyte users to share information and experience in an informal environment.
Since the user group was formed, it has grown rapidly. Today it has approximately 35 members, mainly from Denmark, Sweden and Norway. The members come from both the pharmaceutical industry and academia. The group assembles three to four times a year, exchanging information about hepatocytes. Apart from the regular meetings the group plans to hold major meetings in MV-HUG every other year in Denmark or Sweden.
